In Memory of Reverend Anthony Allen McCurry

Associate Minister, Reverend McCurry

In support of the ministry, Reverend A. Allen McCurry served under Bishop Flagg to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a fellow laborer, Reverend McCurry worked beside Bishop Flagg within the church and to the community at large. Reverend McCurry was a life long resident of Burlington, New Jersey and was well-known and loved by so many in the community.

Reverend McCurry was loved and supported by his wife Audrey McCurry. The McCurry's were blessed with 6 daughters: Lethia, Antoinette, Tracy, Selena, Charlene and Esther, and 1 son: David. Over the years the many grandchildren and great-grand children were added to the family.

In terms of music Reverend McCurry was a talented songster and musician. He and his wife Audrey McCurry regularly rendered service in song to the thrill of their listening audiences. He was the Director for the first director of the church choir, formerly known as the Burlington Church of God Choir. Under Rev. McCurry's direction the choir sang at Church of God State functions and during services when the Pastor, Reverend Flagg was the guest speaker. He was a master on the drums and his play helped to boost the church services.

Reverend McCurry was a former leader of the former Church of God Youth Department and taught the youth Sunday School. He was also a leader of the Flagg Memorial Men's Fellowship.
