In Memory of Brother Roosevelt Flagg, Jr.

November 28, 1952 - November 12, 2015

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. 1 John 3:14

Brother Roosvelt Flagg was a lover of God’s word and was wonderful encouragement of the brethren. He would often rally the church brethren together for times of fellowship and conversation. He was a very caring individual that didn’t mind being a help to those in need. He was truly one that lived by the scripture “Whatsoever your hands find to do, do it.” Yes that was our dear Brother Roosevelt. Whether it was participating in Flagg Memorial Storefront activities or working with the brethren with trustee maintenance and clean-up details at the church, you could always count on Bro. Roosevelt Flagg. As one that loved to worship and praise the Lord, Brother Roosevelt would time-to-time spark the congregation by leading the congregation in his favorite song, "What a Mighty God We Serve".

Bro. Rooselvelt Flagg was a devoted husband and father. He married his wife Robyn in 1981. The couple had 3 daughters, Tia, the oldest, followed by Amoni and Siara. He had 3 grandsons, Keenan, Mekhi and Milani, 1 granddaughter.

Bro. Roosevelt was also instrumental in organization of the Flagg Memorial Prayer Line telephone service. Through this service Flagg Memorial members congregate to prayer and encourage one another by way of telephone. He led of the prayer services right up to the times when his health began to fail.

Bro. Roosevelt had special love for the Youth of Flagg Memorial. He would often ask questions to engage the youth in Sunday School, and was always interested in their being able to get the most out of the Sunday School lessons.

We surely do miss our dear Brother, but we know that one day we will met him again somewhere around God’s throne.
